Displayed there are hundreds of computer application programs of Korean style developed by scientists, technicians, youth and students from across the country and data contributed by different ministries and national institutions and units about their introduction of IT to production, technological updating and business management.

The period of the contest and exhibition will witness a competition in speech and words recognition programs and mechanical translation programs, a lecture on the trend of the IT development and IT exchange and program service.

An opening ceremony took place at the Three-Revolution Exhibition on Oct. 23.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of ministries, national institutions and universities and program developers.

Pyon Yong Rip, president of the State Academy of Sciences, made an opening address.
