Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- The Headquarters of the Actions of the 16th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) on Oct. 22 issued a statement titled "Former chairman of the national reunification committee of Hanchongryon should be released as soon as possible".
The statement referred to the fact that the security authorities arrested and detained Kim Song Il, former chairman of the above-said committee of Hanchongryon who was active in the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, on charges of violating the "National Security Law".
He had conducted sincere activities for ensuring the right to existence of the people and the country's reunification, it stressed.
Hanchongryon will certainly force the Lee "government" to pay a dear price for its crime, the statement noted, urging the regime to immediately release the detained member of the solidarity.
The statement called for certainly collapsing the present regime and building a new society as desired by the pro-reunification personages.
