Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and officials concerned were on hand.

Pak Ui Chun in his speech at the reception said that the visit to the DPRK by the foreign minister of Myanmar and his party marks a significant occasion in further deepening mutual understanding and confidence.

Referring to the efforts being made by the government and people of Myanmar to defend stability and sovereignty of the country, he hoped that everything would go well in friendly Myanmar.

He expressed the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Myanmar would grow stronger as wished by the peoples of the two countries and in mutual interests.

U Nyan Win in his speech expressed thanks for warm hospitality accorded to them and said that his delegation came here to further develop the friendly relations with the DPRK.

He said that he was pleased to see startling successes achieved in the DPRK under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

He hoped that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would develop more actively in the future.
