Placed beside the bier was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Also placed there were wreaths sent by the WPK Central Committee, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, the DPRK Cabinet, armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and Party and power organs in Pyongyang.

Among the condolers were officials of Party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, servicepersons of the KPA and those of Party and power organs and people of various strata in Pyongyang.

They observed a moment's silence in memory of the late Pak and expressed deep condolences to his bereaved families.

Diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations here and overseas compatriots staying in the motherland visited the bier of the late Pak to express condolences over his death on the same day.
