Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The publishing houses and authors who published the books which the puppet ministry of National Defence designated as "seditious books" filed a damages suit in the Seoul Central District Court against it on Oct. 27, according to south Korean KBS.
18 authors including Han Hong Gu and Hong Se Hwa, professors at Songgonghoe University and four publishing houses in the suit regarded it illegal for the ministry to have labeled books of 23 kinds "seditious books" and banned their distribution under the pretext that "the books praised the north and they are of anti-'government,' anti-U.S. and anti-capitalist nature."
They held that this is a crude violation of the fundamental right, and defamation, demanding the ministry pay damages for the above-said action.
