The participants of the events heard papers dealing with research successes and experience which are of significance in implementing the Party's line of attaching importance to science and technology, developing the IT and putting the Koryo medical science on a new high level.

Scientists and technicians in the field of information science introduced achievements made in the research work to round off the method of supporting the information analysis and information service and the system of searching for literature and information including the display and search for Korean texts in the Korean-style computer controlling system and the setting up of library in the e-library system.

Widely discussed at the public presentation were scientific and technological issues arising in improving the method of processing information and the information system including the system of searching for image by use of color character, rhythm modeling with the help of decision tree in the speech mixing of the Korean language and the recognition of cursive characters.

The participants of the medical science symposiums heard papers dealing with essentials of the principle to govern the treatment by use of acupuncture and moxibustion, the successes made by the scientists and technicians in the field of public health in the course of researches to further develop the Koryo medical science.

Drawing the attention of the participants were achievements and experience gained in the researches into Kyongrak, essentials of acupuncture and moxibustion, clinical treatment by those things and physical condition through an active use of modern means, various methods of using acupuncture for treating different kinds of chronic diseases and the hand treatment effective for increasing bone formative influence.
