Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) released a statement on Oct. 27 in protest against the suppression by the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors.
The statement recalled that the police withdrew its forces on Oct. 26 without uttering any word of apology for having thrown a cordon around the KCTU's office and disturbed its work and perpetrated human rights abuses for three months.
It accused the police of persisting in its suppression of the organization as evidenced by its action to reinforce forces around Jogye Temple in Seoul where the chairman of the KCTU stays.
This action proved itself that the police is a tool of the regime of big businesses and the dictatorial regime, it charged.
The crackdown upon the organization is aimed at blocking candlelight actions, the statement declared, urging the Lee "government" and police to stop all repressive actions and immediately withdraw its forces from the temple.
