Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- Events were held in Venezuela, Poland and Pakistan between Oct. 4 and 8 on the occasions of the 63rd founding anniversary of the WPK and the 82nd anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union at which several figures expressed solidarity with the Workers' Party of Korea and Korean people in their struggle.
Julio Rafael Chavez, mayor of Tores City in Venezuela, addressing a meeting, said that the Venezuelan revolutionaries express full solidarity with the WPK and heroic Korean people in their struggle to put an end to the U.S. troops' presence in south Korea and achieve the independent reunification of the country.
Andrzej Kozlowski, chairman of the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association, highly praised socialist Korea for having advanced steadfastly along the road chosen by itself under the Songun revolutionary leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il without the slightest vacillation despite the desperate moves of the enemies to stifle it.
Akrak Aktar Hamidi, chairman of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan, expressed confidence that the WPK under the leadership of Kim Jong Il would demonstrate its ever-victorious might in the future, too.
