Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il in his famous work "Socialism Is a Science" published on Nov. 1, Juche 83 (1994) clarified the fact that socialism is an idea and a revolutionary banner for the popular masses struggling for independence and the advantages, and the invincibility of the popular masses-centered Korean-style socialism, an embodiment of the Juche idea.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates a signed article to this day.

It says:

Over the past more than a decade since the publication of the work Korean-style socialism has been firmly preserved and its invincible might fully demonstrated under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The wise leadership provided by him to lead the Juche-oriented cause of socialism to victory lies in that he made sure that a collectivist principle and revolutionary principles were firmly adhered to in all fabrics of social life and exerted utmost effort for strengthening the driving force for the revolution as required by the Songun era.

His wise leadership also lies in that he has pursued politics of noble love and trust, thus helping all people cherish the idea that the system in the DPRK is the best as unshakable faith.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the whole society is pervaded with the Juche idea and the Songun idea and the People's Army, the mainstay of the Korean revolution, has grown to be an invincible revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu. It is Songun Korea today which counters the imperialists' hard-line policy with the toughest measures and their carrot strategy with a revolutionary principle and is fully demonstrating its sovereign dignity.

Socialism of Juche is sure to triumph as long as there are the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il and the single-minded unity of all the servicepersons and people firmly united around the headquarters of the revolution in thinking and faith, concludes the article.
