Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- The madcap Hoguk joint military exercises for aggression that started on Oct. 30 by an emergency order are going on in the land, seas and sky of south Korea, according to a military source.
The 2nd and 7th army corps and the "Metropolitan Garrison Command" of the puppet army deployed in the area south of the River Han formed an operational unit before occupying positions for commencing attack while marines of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and the marine corps of the puppet armed forces launched the largest-ever combined landing operational exercise with the area of Phohang as an operational theatre.
Flying corps of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces that flew into their air force bases in south Korea from overseas bases and the U.S. 7th Air Force and flying corps of the puppet air force are busy flying in the air above Phyongchang, Thaebaek, Ryechon, Kumi, Kongju and Anmyon Island within the framework of the Hoguk joint military exercises to conduct drills for striking targets and providing close air support.
These joint military exercises are provocative saber-rattling aimed at mounting a preemptive surprise attack on the DPRK and exercises for a war of aggression from A to Z in view of their nature, program and scale.
These exercises launched with an aim to officially upgrade the "CONPLAN 5029" into "OPLAN 5029" is intended to examine the feasibility of the operational plans designed to mount "a preemptive surprise attack" on the DPRK and boost the capability for carrying out a real war in "contingency".
The adventurous Hoguk war exercises are rendering the situation on the Korean Peninsula so tense that a war may break out any moment.
