Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- The historic discourse given by General Secretary Kim Jong Il to Rodong Sinmun, the organ of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Minju Joson, the organ of the DPRK government, on September 5 serves as immortal guidelines that the Korean nation should steadily hold fast to in the efforts for independent reunification, peace and prosperity of Korea.

Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed article.

In the work Kim Jong Il clarified the most infallible and realistic way for achieving the national reunification, the supreme urgent task of the Korean nation, and opening up the road for unified development and prosperity of the nation, the article notes, and goes on:

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration are banner of struggle and weapon of invincibility that the Koreans should hold high in their efforts to realize the independent reunification of the country.

The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors is malevolently challenging the cause of independent reunification while negating the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, but this is no more than miserable last-ditch effort of the discarded of history whose days are numbered. Steadfast is the will of the nation to defend and implement the above-said declarations and win victory in the cause of national reunification despite any storms and outrageous challenge.

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration are an indestructible banner for the accomplishment of the cause of independent reunification that the Koreans should always and invariably hold high as in the past, so in the future, too.
