Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Bereaved Families of Those Who Met Mysterious Deaths in the Army of south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on Oct. 29 at which it demanded the Lee Myung Bak group extend the period of the activities of the Committee for Probing the Truth behind the Mysterious Deaths in the Army.
Speakers at the press conference accused the Lee regime of trying to dissolve the mechanisms to probe the truth behind the past history under an absurd pretext.
Noting that the committee would be compelled to suspend its activities on Dec. 31 due to the Lee group's measure, they deplored that this would bury into oblivion the truth about the mysterious deaths in the army that still remain unprobed.
They urged the "National Assembly" to pass the bill calling for revising the law on mysterious deaths as early as possible in order to extend the activities of the committee and other mechanisms.
At the end of the press conference, the solidarity submitted a written petition to "Chongwadae" raising the above-said demand.
