Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The Korean people are looking back upon the revolutionary life of indomitable revolutionary fighter Kim Hyong Gwon in humble reverence on his birth anniversary (November 4, 1905).
With the noble revolutionary spirit and patriotic spirit of the Mangyongdae revolutionary family, Kim Hyong Gwon, uncle of President Kim Il Sung, left immortal traces in the chronicle of the Korean revolution which had been pioneered with rifles.
He actively waged a mass political enlightenment campaign in the basin of River Amnok and the Fusong area in his early years and took an active part in the revolutionary struggle under the guidance of the President.
He upheld the idea and leadership of the President heart and soul with the steadfast revolutionary outlook and view of life that the cause of national liberation of the President was the supreme patriotic cause of realizing the idea of "Jiwon" (aim high).
While active as a core member of the Young Communist League of Korea and the Society for Rallying Comrades, he energetically led the board masses to turn out in the struggle for the independent development of the Korean revolution by awakening and organizing them.
When the Korean Revolutionary Army was formed on the way of preparation for the anti-Japanese armed struggle, he readily joined the glorious ranks.
He launched into the homeland at the head of an armed group and conducted military and political activities according to the strategic line of expanding the armed struggle into the homeland and developing it.
The gun report he sounded in Phabal-ri of the homeland was one of revenge for giving vent to vengeance rankling in the hearts of the Korean people and a revolutionary echo inspiring conviction of the liberation of the country.
With revolutionary faith and strong will, he fought a daring struggle in jail after he was thrown behind bars by the Japanese imperialists.
The life of Kim Hyong Gwon was, indeed, the noble course of a true patriot who devoted his whole to national liberation and the bright future of the people and a brilliant life of a steadfast revolutionary boundlessly faithful to the revolutionary cause pioneered by the leader.
