Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The 6th national Korean dress exhibition was opened at the Central Youth Hall Tuesday.
Displayed in the venue of the exhibition are more than 1,600 Korean dresses (Jogori and a skirt) presented by garment factories and public service fields, etc. in Pyongyang and local areas. They are divided into casual dresses, holiday dresses, wedding dresses and children's clothes.
The exhibition will involve a fashion show and a lecture on properly preserving the national character in the designing and processing of Korean dresses.
Present at the opening ceremony were Ri Ju O, minister of Light Industry who is chairman of the Korean Apparel Association, and officials, researchers, technicians, teachers, students and members of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in the field specializing in the production of Korean dresses.
At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the exhibition.
