Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on Oct. 31 denouncing the aggressive and provocative Hoguk joint war exercises launched by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet warlike forces.

The statement said that the above-said exercises with huge armed forces including U.S. marines involved are preliminary war maneuvers aimed at invading the DPRK and destroying socialism centered on the popular masses and extremely adventurous and provocative saber-rattling that may develop into a nuclear war in the light of their nature.

Through these war exercises the U.S. seeks to bring socialist Korea to its knees by stifling and threatening it and find a pretext to further strain the situation, the statement noted, and went on:

This self-exposed that the U.S. is not interested in defusing the tension on the Korean Peninsula at all.

The Lee Myung Bak clique of south Korea should drop at once the sycophancy and servile spirit and stop the war exercises against compatriots, the drills for using its troops as cannon fodder of the U.S. imperialists.

We demand the U.S. and the south Korean puppet clique immediately stop the war exercises.

We solemnly declare that we stand on the same front with the people of dignified Korea of Juche under socialism centered on the popular masses.
