Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- 32 peasants organizations including the south Korean Federation of Peasant Associations and the Central Association of Agricultural Managers of south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on Nov. 3 at which they declared a large-scale peasants' struggle against the conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. FTA.
Accusing the "government" and the "Grand National Party" of working hard to submit the "motion calling for the ratification of the FTA" to the "National Assembly", they declared that peasants throughout south Korea would simultaneously launch a large-scale struggle in Seoul on Nov. 25.
The above-said bodies urged the "government" to dismiss the government officials who expropriated subsidies for rice cultivators and take an immediate step to guarantee the vital rights of the peasants.
