Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Nov. 3 to condemn the United States for its scheme to build a nuclear war base.
Speakers there referred to the fact that the U.S. is now seeking to build protection facilities for nuclear war in its military base in Phyongthaek, which is being extended. Such scheme is designed to strengthen the "command post" of the U.S. forces present in south Korea that will command their preemptive nuclear attack, they pointed out.
They charged that the United States has no intention to renounce its hostile policy toward the DPRK, though it is demanding nuclear dismantlement from the latter.
Then a press release was read out at the conference. The release said that the U.S. scheme to build protection facilities for nuclear war in its military base in south Korea for the first time abroad is a clear proof of its preparations for preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK.
It demanded that the U.S. stop its moves to build nuclear war base and quit south Korea at once.
