Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) -- 38 political parties, civic and public and youth and student organizations of south Korea including the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils issued a joint statement on Nov. 6 denouncing the warmongers' joint landing exercises for aggression.
The statement referred to the largest-ever south Korea-U.S. joint landing exercises now underway across south Korea as part of the Hoguk joint military exercises with U.S. marines and south Korean marine corps involved.
The gravity of the exercises lies in that the military exercises are now under way according to "OPLAN 5027" which has been put into a concrete shape as an offensive scenario in particular, the statement noted, and continued:
The largest-ever joint landing exercises for aggression of increased offensive nature are a dangerous move to escalate the military tension and confrontation on the Korean Peninsula.
If the U.S. and the south Korean authorities truly stand for denuclearization and peace on the peninsula, they should immediately halt the above-said landing exercises going against those processes.
The south Korean Council of Youth Organizations on Nov. 3 issued the statement titled "The authorities are threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula, not content with forcing the people to suffer from destitution! Immediately stop the south Korea-U.S. joint landing exercises."
