Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The "Mirae" opera troupe under the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea protested against the puppet security authorities' suppression on Nov. 5.
The troupe recalled that the police authorities made an investigation into its members on charges of "formation of enemy-benefiting organization and admission to it" by dint of the "National Security Law" (NSL) on Nov. 4 and 5.
During the investigation the police called into question the troupe's activities conducted in liaison with the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils and the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification which have been defined as "organizations benefiting the enemy". This is a trick designed to brand the troupe as an "enemy-benefiting organization", the troupe charged.
The organization also bitterly condemned the Lee Myung Bak "government" for invoking the NSL to crack down on it for the reason that it gave its performances in the candlelight actions and created an opera on the theme of reunification.
The organization declared that its members would wage one-man demonstration in front of the Anti-DPRK Section of the Police in protest against such unreasonable investigation.
