Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The 100th candlelight cultural event opposing the south Korean military authorities' expansion of the drill ground in Mugon-ri took place in Phaju City, Kyonggi Province, on Nov. 8.
It was attended by the chairman of the Inhabitants Measure Committee against the Expansion of the Drill Ground in Mugon-ri, the chairman of the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and members of other civic and public organizations, youth and students and villagers.
Speakers at the event recalled that such events have been held since August 1.
They declared that they would not cease their actions by holding even the 200th and 300th events in the future till the inhabitants' demands are met.
A resolution read out at the event denounced the military authorities for forcing the residents of Ohyon-ri to leave their village for the purpose of expanding the drill ground.
It expressed their determination to continue a life-and-death struggle against the expansion of the drill ground.
The participants in the event disclosed the injustice of the expansion of the drill ground and staged a performance satirizing and mocking at the Lee Myung Bak "government's" servile diplomacy towards the U.S.
