Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle led by President Kim Il Sung is a historic revolutionary struggle as it provided a fundamental basis for founding the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and gave an origin to the building of a socialist state.
Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article.
It goes on:
The DPRK was founded 60 years ago from now, but its historic roots were provided by the President in the course of the 20 year-long anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
The feats the President performed by laying a solid basis for founding the Republic in the crucible of the anti-Japanese struggle lie in that he set forth the unique idea and line of the nation-building on the basis of the Juche idea, accumulated a wealth of practical experience in power building and consolidated the strong political and military foundation for the nation-building.
It is the Juche-based idea and line of the nation-building set forth by the President that the DPRK government should be a regime of the people guaranteeing and protecting the interests of various strata of working masses including workers, farmers and intellectuals and it should be built in the Korean style to suit the specific conditions of Korea.
In the first half of the 1930s when the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle developed into a full-scale armed struggle the President laid down the line of setting up a people's revolutionary government reflecting the requirements of the Korean revolution. He successfully put it into practice in the guerilla bases along the shore of the River Tuman and accumulated precious experience in building the people's government in its course.
It was the President who exerted great efforts for making preparations for founding a party in the early period of the anti-Japanese revolution and organized a revolutionary army, first of all, before founding a state and led the revolution to victory in reliance upon it.
He was, indeed, a peerlessly great man who laid solid foundations for founding the DPRK and strengthening and developing it in the crucible of the anti-Japanese struggle.
It is necessary to regard the precious tradition of power building established by the President in the crucible of the anti-Japanese struggle and the exploits he performed in that course as a lifeline and eternally glorify them.
