Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The U.S. forces made an air strike at civilian objects in the territory of Syria 8 kilometers away from the border of Iraq on October 26 and later perpetrated an air raid on a tribal region of the southern part of Waziristan, Pakistan, killing civilians.
These facts clearly prove that the U.S. unilateral high-handed and arbitrary practices have recently reached an extreme phase.
Minju Joson today observes this in a signed commentary.
It brands the U.S. large-scale military attacks on other countries and its mass killings of civilians as unpardonable unethical atrocities and inhuman crimes.
The U.S. continued military attacks on Syria and Pakistan are a wanton encroachment upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity guaranteed by international law and the UN charter and undisguised state-sponsored terrorism, the commentary notes, and goes on:
The United States has totally defied international law and all orders related to the international relations in perpetrating military actions and is justifying them under the pretext of "war on terrorism".
This is, in fact, little short of a declaration that the U.S. may commit any aggression and war to infringe upon the sovereignty of any country by striking any target any moment, if necessary, and all countries of the world can be targets of its military attack.
It is needless to say that if such extremely brigandish and hegemonic theory of the U.S. is allowed to hold sway, this will have a serious impact on the just development of the international community and the guarantee of global peace.
International law and the basic rules and norms of the international relations are getting toothless due to the U.S. evermore wanton infringement upon state sovereignty and terrorism. This reality today awakens all the countries and peoples of the world to a new principle governing security.
The U.S. would be well advised to roll back at once its anachronistic, high-handed and unilateral policy which will only precipitate its final doom.
