Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, met and had a friendly talk with Manouchehr Mottaki, Iranian foreign minister, and his party who paid a courtesy call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall today.
Kim said that the DPRK is rejoiced over the successes made by the Iranian government and people in defending the gains of the Islamic revolution.
Noting that General Secretary Kim Jong Il has been deeply concerned for the development of the friendly relations between the two countries, he said that the DPRK would make efforts to expand and develop the relations with Iran.
The Iranian foreign minister said that they look back with deep emotion on the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, visiting the DPRK at the significant time when the 60th anniversary of the DPRK was celebrated.
He stressed that Iran fully supports the DPRK's efforts for peaceful reunification of the country and will do its utmost for the development of the bilateral relations in various fields.
On hand were Kung Sok Ung, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Morteza Moradian, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK.
