Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) - The area of the western coast of Korea has undergone a noticeable change with an energetic reclamation of the tideland.
With the completion of Chongsu Islet tideland reclamation, more than 1,000 hectares have been brought under cultivation, while the accelerated reclamation of Kumsong tideland in Onchon County, South Phyongan Province, has brought upwards of 3,000 hectares of new land under plow. There new farms have made their appearance.
And thousands of hectares of new land has been obtained through forceful reclamation of Taegye Islet tideland.
Thousands of hectares of tideland has been reclaimed in the course of a gigantic nature-remaking in the western coastal area of Korea over the last ten years, with the result that the coastline has been cut by tens of kilometers and ten islets have been linked with the land.
