Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- A DPRK book, photo and handicraft exhibition was opened in Arseniyev City of Russia on November 5 on the occasions of the 17th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 91st birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.
On display in the venue of the exhibition are works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos showing their undying feats and books and handicrafts introducing the DPRK.
Present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition were the mayor of Arseniyev City and the chairman of the City Assembly and figures of various circles and people.
The mayor in his speech made at the opening ceremony said that it is a great honor of Arseniyev City to hold the DPRK exhibition. The Korean people are confidently advancing along the road chosen by themselves despite the present complicated international situation, he noted, adding that this is entirely the result of the original Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il.
