Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Saturday sent a message of greetings to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the corrective movement in his country.
Kim in the message noted that after the corrective movement the Syrian people had achieved the brilliant successes in their work to build modern Syria under the wise leadership of Hafez Al-Assad, leader of advance.
The message expressed the belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Syria the good foundation of which was provided by the leaders of elder generation would steadily strengthen in the common interests in the future, too.
It sincerely wished the friendly Syrian Arab people bigger success in the performance of their cause to defend the peace and security of the country, achieve its independent development and settle the Mideast issue in a fair and comprehensive way while smashing the whole gamut of threats and challenges of the hostile forces under the correct leadership of their president.
