Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il appreciated an art performance given by soldiers of a warship under Navy Unit 155 of the KPA, a company under KPA Unit 833 and a company under KPA Unit 1313 who participated in the 32nd art festival of servicepersons of the KPA.
Among the audience were Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the KPA General Staff, Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the General Political Department of the KPA, KPA Generals Hyon Chol Hae, Ri Myong Su and Kim Myong Guk, Lieut. General Jong Thae Gun and other commanding officers of the KPA, Kim Yang Gon, department director of the C.C., WPK, Ri Je Gang and Ri Jae Il, first department vice-directors, and other leading officials of the C.C., WPK.
Their repertoire included chorus "Sing the Song of Paternal Warm Care," poem and story-telling "Joy of General", drama and story-telling "On Board Honored Warship," solo "Soldier Lives near General", poem and song" Song of Comradeship," singing and story-telling " Life in Company Is Good," instrumental music and song "A Coach Disappeared between Clouds," poem and chorus "Blue Sky of My Country" and other colorful numbers of diverse genres.
The performance deeply impressed the audience as it truthfully represented the noble spiritual world of the KPA advancing the great era of Songun.
He warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering performers and congratulated them on their successful presentation.
After enjoying the performance, he highly appreciated their successful presentation, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that all the soldiers of the companies have not only been prepared as indomitable fighters but have grown to be creators of Songun culture as they have a high level of cultural attainment.
It is one of the important affairs for increasing the combat capability of the units to conduct dynamic cultural and art activities among servicepersons, he said, setting forth tasks to be fulfilled by all units of the KPA including companies to intensify art activities.
