Pyongyang November 16 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea on Nov. 12 issued a statement entitled "Let us check the conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement through candlelight actions".

Noting that the Lee Myung Bak "government" and the "Grand National Party" are seeking to pass the "motion for the ratification of the FTA" through the "National Assembly" within this year, the statement said that such behavior reveals the pitiful position of the conservative forces pushed to a crisis.

If Lee Myung Bak persists in its scheme to leave the south Korean economy at the tender mercy of the U.S. as a whole, talking about the "national interests", the people will escalate the candlelight actions against Lee Myung Bak to strongly react to his scheme, it warned.

The statement said that the youth and students would wage the full-scale struggle to throw overboard the conservative ruling forces.
