Noting that 30 years have passed since the fabrication of the above-said command, the statement said:
The command is a military mechanism cooked up for the purpose of putting the south Korean puppet forces under the stricter control of the U.S. armed forces.
After its fabrication the U.S. has exercised the right of military command over the south Korean puppet forces in all fields.
The criminal war exercises for aggression against the DPRK, including the Ulji Freedom Guardian and the Key Resolve, were conducted under the direction of the above-mentioned command.
That is why it becomes the precondition for ensuring the peace on the Korean Peninsula and achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea to disband the command.
The Switzerland-Korea Committee fully supports the south Korean people's struggle for the disbandment of the command and the withdrawal of the U.S. troops present in south Korea and for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
