Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Members of the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Nov. 15 demanding the acquittal of its members who were walked off by the police.
A press release read out at the conference accused the police of arresting Co-Chairman O Jong Ryol and Secretary General Ju Je Jun of the solidarity on Nov. 13.
The press release vehemently denounced the Lee Myung Bak regime and the security authorities for their repressive moves to put in custody guiltless people after labeling the organization "force behind protest actions" though such force does not exist at all.
It pointed out that the unreasonable charge brought against members of the above-said solidarity was fabricated to serve the political purpose of the present regime.
There is no ground to detain the above-said co-chairman and secretary general, the press release said, demanding the security authorities retract the warrant of arrest for them and acquit them.
