Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of revolutionary martyr Ryu Kyong Su at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong Wednesday on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.
Seen standing before the bust was a wreath from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Il Chol, Kim Ki Nam and Choe Yong Rim and officials of armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the KPA, bereaved families and working people in Pyongyang.
Laid there were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, ministries, national institutions, the field for the preservation of revolutionary relics and party and power bodies in Pyongyang and flowers.
The participants paid silent tribute to Ryu Kyong Su who dedicated everything to the struggle for the country's liberation, the people's freedom and happiness and prosperity and independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
Wreaths were also laid before his statue in Sinhung Township of Sinhung County, South Hamgyong Province on the same day.
