Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- The Headquarters for Actions of the 16th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) made public a statement on Nov. 16 in demand of the repeal of the "National Security Law," an unethical fascist law.
Referring to the fact that Song Hyo Won, who is still on the want list under the mere reason that she was chairperson of the 13th-term Hanchongryon, was not able to attend even the funeral of her father, the statement said:
A lot of patriotic young students, who acted as deputies to the Hanchongryon in the past, had to undergo great sufferings and sacrifices due to the above-said evil law.
The erstwhile fascist dictators arrested all the progressive personages whom they regarded as hurdles to them and unhesitatingly took even their lives, using the NSL as a tool for the upkeep of their regimes.
Recalling that the number of victims to the evil law is on the steady increase under the Lee Myung Bak "government", the statement assailed the authorities for walking off leading members of the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration on the charge of violating the NSL and fabricating even a case to crack down upon Hanchongryon.
The statement demanded that the authorities abolish the unethical NSL and release all the prisoners of conscience unconditionally.
