Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Cabinet arranged a reception in honor of the DPRK girls football team, winner of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008, at Okryu Restaurant on Friday.
Present at the reception were Kwak Pom Gi, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Pak Hak Son, chairman of the Korean Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, officials concerned and girl footballers.
Kwak Pom Gi, addressing the reception, warmly welcomed on behalf of the DPRK government the trustworthy footballers who demonstrated the dignity of Kim Il Sung's nation and invincible mental power of Songun Korea by winning the title of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008.
General Secretary Kim Jong Il, busy as he was with his Songun revolutionary leadership, instilled into the girl footballers the faith in sure victory to be cherished by them in matches with strong teams in the world, the speaker noted.
He underlined the need for all the players and coaches to further round off the Korean-style sporting principles and methods and tactical system and intensify the training with higher goals and thus register spectacular results in international matches.
