Those who fully display compatriotism do not read the face of outsiders but firmly join hands with compatriots remaining undeterred despite whatever pressure outsiders may put upon them. Genuine compatriotism is the key to establishing sovereignty and a source of strength for carving out the destiny of the nation.
Genuine compatriotism represents the patriotic idea and desire to achieve the unity and reunification of the north and the south by dint of patriotism.
The Koreans in the north and the south have the same national character and sentiment as they are a homogenous nation although they live separated from each other.
