Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The 2008 AFC Women's Awards was held in Malaysia on Nov. 20.
At the awards the DPRK women's football team won the AFC National Team of the Year award for its contribution to the development of the women's football in Asia by placing first in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2008 and the AFC Women's Coach of the Year award was lifted by chief coach of the DPRK Kim Kwang Min.
Meanwhile, Ri Kum Suk was adjudged to be the AFC Women's Player of the Year (First runner-up) in the roll of the honour.
