Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The present chief executive of south Korea at a recent meet-the press in the U.S. talked rubbish about the north-south relations. He openly blustered that the "ultimate goal is to unify the country under the system of liberal democracy."
This came under fire by a statement issued by a spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland on Saturday.
Traitor Lee Myung Bak's nonsensical remarks are little short of declaring before the world that his ultimate goal is to unify the country by war, quite contrary to the trend of the times toward independent reunification and peace and prosperity, the statement notes, and goes on:
The "system of liberal democracy" touted by the traitor is nothing but the U.S. imperialists' system of colonial fascist rule over south Korea and "unification under that system" means "unification through absorption", a wild dream, and his loudmouthed "ultimate goal" is to launch a war against the DPRK.
The traitor declared a war against the DPRK as "an ultimate goal" even on the international arena after going beyond the phase of negating the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. The committee strongly denounces the traitor's outbursts as unpardonable anti-reunification crime and a treacherous act of pushing the north-south relations to a collapse.
Lee Myung Bak, no more than a colonial puppet prolonging his dirty remaining days by depending on the U.S. imperialists, dares give his eye-teeth for the DPRK system dignified with independence which is demonstrating its might with Songun. This reminds one of a tiger-moth jumping into fire.
The option of the DPRK has become clear as the developments have proved that there is no room to discuss the inter-Korean relationship and reunification issues with the Lee group as it is steeped in the anti-DPRK confrontational hysteria to the marrow of its bones. The DPRK, therefore, is left with no option but to resolutely counter the group, as it had already declared, now that the group keeps to the road of reckless and dangerous confrontation with the DPRK, far from drawing a lesson from its treacherous and criminal act of pushing the inter-Korean relations to a collapse.
The Lee group will never be able to escape from the responsibility for having pushed the inter-Korean relations and peace on the Korean Peninsula to an uncontrollable grave phase through its anti-DPRK confrontational racket.
