Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- More than 540 units across the country planted rare trees and flower shrubs and bulbs in the arboretum of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace this significant year.
Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army cultivated many rare trees at their posts and transplanted them in the arboretum.
Units under the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and officials and employees of many institutions, enterprises, universities, etc. including Kim Il Sung University, the Ministry of People's Security, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Agricultural Science, the Ministry of Public Health, the Pyongyang Post Office visited the arboretum and planted many rare trees and flower shrub of good species.
Chestnut trees of rare species were planted in the arboretum by Wonsan University of Agriculture and rare trees of new species by the Myohyangsan History Museum, adding beauty to the landscape of the arboretum.
Many families and school youth and children from across the country have made sincere contributions to the arboretum of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace from the morning of the New Year's Day.
