Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Student Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea held a press conference in front of the "Ministry of Unification" building in Seoul on Nov. 21 in protest against the puppet authorities' obstruction to the exchange between youth and students from the north and the south.
Speakers accused the ministry of disallowing the planned Pyongyang visit by two of the representatives of the above-said headquarters.
They stated with indignation that it was absolutely intolerable for the ministry to disallow their visit to Pyongyang for the mere reason that they are members of the south Korean Council of Youth Organizations and the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils.
Noting that the ministry took such an action to curry the favor of the Lee Myung Bak "government," they deplored that if such thing was allowed to go on, one could hardly predict what "selective measure" would be taken when north-south exchange would take place in the future.
Recalling that the authorities are taking no measure against those who ran wild with the scattering of leaflets slandering the north, claiming that "it is hard to invoke a law" against them and the like, the speakers assailed them for cracking down upon the pro-reunification patriotic organizations on charges of violation of the "National Security Law."
They vowed to launch a more powerful struggle to force the authorities to drop their anti-reunification confrontational policy.
