Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- It is a very urgent practical problem to form a great alliance of the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration, the progressive forces, as soon as possible so as to foil the ultra-right conservative forces' fascist suppression in south Korea.
Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a signed article.
The Lee Myung Bak regime is frantically intensifying the suppression of progressive pro-reunification democratic forces in south Korea in a bid to eliminate them, regarding them as hurdles in the way of carrying out its policy sycophantic towards the U.S., a policy of confrontation with the DPRK, the article says, and goes on:
What merits more serious attention is that the Lee Myung Bak group is busy cooking up various kinds of ultra-right conservative organizations in an effort to eliminate the progressive forces in south Korea.
The south Korean conservative ruling forces' fascist offensive should never be overlooked but the progressive forces should come out to decisively foil the vicious tactics of the traitors' group to destroy them one by one.
To this end, it is necessary for the forces from all circles of south Korea supporting the June 15 declaration, the progressive forces, to form a strong alliance under the banner of independence, democracy and reunification.
It is beyond doubt that the Lee Myung Bak traitorous regime's fascist offensive will prove futile and a new turning point will be effected in the Korean nation's patriotic cause when the south Korean people form a great alliance of progressive forces and launch a more dynamic struggle for independence, democracy and reunification in reliance upon it.
The south Korean people should demonstrate the might of the unity of the progressive pro-reunification democratic forces firmly rallied under the banner of independence, democracy and reunification and decisively meet the Lee group's challenge with its might and thus put spurs to the advance of the June 15 era of reunification, concludes the article.
