Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- DPRK ceramic work "Longevity Pattern Inlaid Celadon Vase" was awarded a gold prize, the highest prize, at the 2008 International Ceramic Expo in Jingdezhen of China.
Presented to the expo were at least 500,000 ceramic works and pottery from over 100 organizations of more than 30 countries, including the DPRK, and different regions of the world.
Artists of the Ceramic Works Production Group of the Mansudae Art Studio presented to the expo ceramic works they created to cater to the contemporary aesthetic taste while ensuring the traditional peculiarities of Koryo celadon showing the resourcefulness and talents of the Korean nation.
The ceramic work "Longevity Pattern Inlaid Celadon Vase" created by People's Artist Sin Hyon Su won the admiration of visitors as it has a peculiar shape after it was done with beautiful and mysterious colors and ensures spectacular plastic art beauty in decorative pattern through a good combination of inlaid and reticulated technique.
