Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:
What Lee uttered is a blatant challenge and provocation to all Koreans and the DPRK struggling to achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity by their concerted efforts as it is nothing but a repetition of the theory of "unification by prevailing over communism" and "unification through absorption" much publicized by former military dictators and "civilian" fascist maniac who had been thrown into the dumping ground of history by the strong trend toward national reconciliation and unity.
By "unification under the system of liberal democracy" Lee means an anti-reunification slogan calling for stamping out the ideology and bringing down the system in the DPRK while negating national independence and reunification and a version of a motto for a war of aggression against it.
The Lee group are hell-bent on the inter-Korean confrontation, negating the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. These acts of treachery have reached such pass as to openly reveal their scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK in a bid to do harm to its dignified ideology and system at any cost.
The development eloquently proves that their talk about "dialogue" and "improved inter-Korean relations" are nothing but hypocrisy intended to cover up their true colors as anti-DPRK confrontational fanatics and divert elsewhere the people's resentment at them and that, in actuality, they are only seeking to ignite a war of aggression against the DPRK to bring down its system in league with the U.S.
"Unification under the system of liberal democracy" which the puppets seek to realize is nothing but a pipe-dream.
Now that the treacherous design of the Lee group to stand in confrontation with the DPRK to the last in utter disregard of the above-said declarations has become undisputably clear, the DPRK is compelled to take a strong counter-action against it.
