Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- A dissemination meeting for survey research on situation of elderly population was held in Pyongyang on November 26.

Present there were officials of the Population Centre, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Labor, the Central Statistics Bureau, the Red Cross General Hospital of Korea and other organs concerned and members of the UNFPA Office in the DPRK.

Study papers were read at the meeting on the subjects of demographic character of the aged in the DPRK, their standard of education, their health conditions, their economic activities, understanding of the aged person problem and others.
