Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- It is necessary to put the earliest possible end to the U.S. policy of military presence in south Korea in order to achieve the independent reunification and peace and prosperity by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.
Rodong Sinmun Friday says this in a by-lined article.
The article cites facts to prove that the U.S. policy of military presence in south Korea is a policy of aggression as it is aimed at trampling down upon the dignity and sovereignty of the Korean nation and increasing the danger of a war of aggression against the DPRK and the most brigandish and brazen-faced predatory policy.
It is an urgent demand of the present times and the Korean nation to terminate the U.S. military presence in south Korea and its colonial domination over it, the article notes, and goes on:
It is only foreign aggressor forces and a handful of pro-U.S. conservative forces in south Korea, their lackeys, that are making desperate efforts to stem the trend of the times toward independence and reunification.
Of late the U.S. imperialist war-like circles are working hard to drive the Lee Myung Bak group to confrontation and war against fellow countrymen and lay an international siege to the DPRK, making much ado about "threat from the north", prompted by their criminal scenario to deter the Koreans in the north and the south from getting reconciled and united and perpetuate the presence of their aggressor forces in south Korea.
But the U.S. anachronistic policy of military presence in south Korea is bound to go bankrupt as it is against the will of all Koreans.
Steadfast is their will to drive the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces out of south Korea and put an end to all sorts of national misfortune and sufferings and pave a wide avenue for reunification and prosperity by dint of national independence and unity.
The Korean nation will never tolerate the U.S. aggressive and predatory policy of military presence in south Korea and hostile policy toward the DPRK but make a new history of independent reunification and peace and prosperity without fail under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself".
