Minister of General Administration of Sport of China Interviewed

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- Liu Peng, minister of the General Administration of Sport of China, said that China would conduct brisk sports exchange with the DPRK in the future, too, to make a positive contribution to boosting the Sino-DPRK friendship, when interviewed by KCNA before his departure from Pyongyang at the end of the visit.

I was deeply impressed to see Pyongyang which has been splendidly built into a beautiful city and people full of vigor, he said, and went on:

The Korean people have registered great achievements in socialist construction under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The President performed great feats for the country and its people.

He paid deep attention to the building and development of new China.

The Chinese people profoundly revere him.

He always lives in the hearts of not only the Korean people but of the Chinese people.

The Sino-DPRK friendship provided by Chairman Mao Zedong and President Kim Il Sung is growing stronger day by day under the deep care of Hu Jintao and Kim Jong Il.

I am firmly convinced that the Korean people will achieve bigger successes in socialist construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
