Business organizations of Chongryon can never be targets of suppression as they have worked hard to protect the business activities of Korean workers in commerce and their right to existence, while abiding by the Japanese law. And the issue of "income tax" for which the Japanese reactionaries hold a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Shinjuku Association of Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan accountable was settled one and a half years ago.

Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries conducted a search operation against several offices on the false charge of "violation of the law on taxation". A sinister aim sought by them through this is to weaken the above-said organization and tear Korean workers in commerce off Chongryon in a bid to ultimately bring down the financial foundation of Chongryon and destroy Chongryon.

The commentary cites facts to prove that the Japanese reactionaries are using the politically motivated suppression of Chongryon as a lever for executing their hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The DPRK will never remain an onlooker to the Japanese reactionaries' unreasonable and brazen-faced politically motivated suppression of Chongryon.

They would be well advised to bear this in mind and stop at once such suppression of Chongryon and human rights abuses against Koreans in Japan.
