Foiling Imperialists' War Policy and Domination Moves Called for

Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- It is the common task of the progressive people of the world to keep peace and hasten development of human civilization in the 21st century, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed article.

Noting that the imperialists' moves for aggression and war are being more openly committed under the spurious veil of "peace-keeping" in the present century and they assume greater danger, the article goes on:

The imperialist aggression forces have waged undisguised military interference and acts of aggression against independent countries under the signboard of "contribution to freedom and democracy" and "peace-keeping" after labeling those countries "dangerous states" and "dictatorial society" as they please.

Hideous destruction and man-killings have been committed and independent development of countries are seriously deterred everywhere the imperialists ignite wars of aggression under the watchword of "peace-keeping."

The world people cannot defend sovereignty of their countries, much less achieving development of human civilization in the new century, unless they frustrate the imperialists' war policy and their moves for domination.

If they fail to frustrate the imperialists' arbitrary and highhanded practices and war moves, they cannot but fall victim to their policy for aggression and domination.

The key to averting war and preserving peace lies in the struggle against imperialism and it provides a sure guarantee for independent progress and development of human civilization in the new century.

All the peace-loving peoples should uphold the banner of independence and peace against imperialism in order to foil the war moves of the imperialist aggression forces.

If the peace-loving people hold higher the banner of the struggle for peace against war, the imperialists' moves for aggression and domination will go to ruin and favorable circumstances be created for carrying out the human cause of independence, cause of peace.

The Korean people will dynamically wage the struggle to foil the war policy and moves for domination by the imperialist aggression forces under the uplifted banner of Songun so as to make positive contributions to defending sovereignty of the country and socialism and advancing the cause of world independence.
