Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Representatives of the Federation of Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan, the Association of Young Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan and the Tokyo Metropolitan Association of Korean Workers in Commerce staged a protest against the police authorities' suppression in front of the Metropolitan Police Office of Japan on Nov. 28 The representatives accused the Japanese police authorities of conducting a search operation against the offices of the Federation of Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan and the Tokyo Metropolitan Association of Korean Workers in Commerce in the Hall of Korean Workers in Commerce in Tokyo on Nov. 27. They urged the Japanese authorities to stop the unwarranted suppression of the commercial organizations and guarantee the rights of the Koreans in Japan. They met officials concerned of the Metropolitan Police Office to disclose the unreasonableness of the search operation and demanded it immediately return the confiscated things and apologize for it. Meanwhile, officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan staged actions in front of the Ueno Police Station on Nov. 27 and 28 condemning the police for arresting and detaining a young Korean on the charge of "interference in the performance of its duty" for the mere reason that he protested against its search operation and demanding his release. |
