Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- To abrogate the "National Security Law", a vicious anti-reunification fascist law in south Korea, is the demand of the times and the unanimous will of the entire Korean nation, says Rodong Sinmun today in a by-lined article. The article notes that the successive traitorous rulers of south Korea have used the NSL as a tool to maintain the U.S. colonial rule and their fascist dictatorial system and check national reconciliation, unity and reunification, committing hideous crimes before the country and the nation for six decades. The NSL, cooked up under the pretext of "national security" on December 1, 1948, is the worst evil law ever in history and it has turned into the peerlessly fascist law through continued retrogressive revision over the last decades, the article points out, and says: The Lee Myung Bak group is rashly invoking the notorious NSL as a means for "ruling security" and anti-reunification confrontation as the preceding dictators did. Due to such fascist deeds, democracy and human rights are now being seriously violated and the past era of terrible dictatorship is coming back to south Korea. The NSL defines fellow countrymen as "enemies" and incriminates contact and exchange between the people and personages of all strata in the north and the south while serving for harsh suppression of the progressive pro-reunification and democratic forces in south Korea. If such anti-national and anti-reunification evil law is allowed to remain in force, it will be impossible any time to achieve the national reconciliation, unity and reunification and realize independence and democracy of the south Korean society. The NSL, which brings sufferings to the south Korean people and does harm to the entire nation, should be abolished as it is an anachronistic evil law detrimental to the June 15 era of reunification. Attitude towards the abrogation of the NSL is a touchstone to distinguish the stand for national reconciliation, unity and reunification from the stand for north-south confrontation and fascist dictatorship. The Lee Myung Bak group's persistent moves to swim against the trend of the June 15 era of reunification by dint of the NSL will more glaringly reveal its criminal nature as a group of maniacs seeking confrontation and fascist dictatorship. The group of traitors should discard its wild dream and abolish the ill-famed NSL without delay to meet the unanimous demand of the entire Korean nation. |
