Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

The above-said theory is a theory calling for sycophancy towards the U.S. and subservience to foreign forces, to all intents and purposes, as it is designed to help the U.S. realize its sinister scenario to stifle the DPRK under the pretext of the nuclear issue. It is, at the same time, an anti-reunification and confrontational theory as it diametrically runs counter to the main spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, great programmes for developing the inter-Korean relations and achieving national reunification.

Of late the group of traitors is going reckless in its moves to dare do harm to the dignified system of the DPRK, foolishly letting loose such a spate of very provocative and war-like vituperations as "unification under the liberal and democratic system" under the pretext of "emergency situation". Indeed, it is a blatant challenge and an open declaration of a war against the DPRK which has made every sincere effort for peace and peaceful reunification of the country because it is an unpardonable treacherous act to stamp out the ideology and system in the DPRK and introduce the corrupt system of colonial rule in south Korea even to the DPRK in league with foreign forces.

The group is keen to cover up this poor scenario of confrontation which betrays its criminal intention to do harm to the DPRK in collusion with foreign forces with the veil of the glossy watchwords of "co-existence and co-prosperity" in a bid to mislead the public opinion. This is an intolerable insult and provocation to the DPRK and mockery of the entire Korean nation desirous of the development of inter-Korean relations and reunification.

The above-said group is sadly mistaken if it calculates it can justify its moves for confrontation with the DPRK and realize its criminal scenario with the above-said watchwords.

The Korean nation will never pardon Lee Myung Bak for driving the inter-Korean relations to total severance and the situation to the brink of a war, persistently pursuing his criminal "policy towards the north" quite contrary to the trend of the times, but strictly settle accounts with him.
