Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors is letting ultra-right conservative maniacs give "special lectures on modern history" before students of hundreds of high schools in Seoul. This is an unprecedented charade. In those lectures the conservative elements are talking such sheer nonsense as the south Korean economy in the modern times "began to take shape" in the period of the colonial rule of Japan and "Japan's colonization of Korea was helpful to her modernization and civilization." They went the lengths of extolling to the sky traitors to the nation and former military dictators and justifying the split of the Korean nation by the United States. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: What the group uttered is not a mere distortion of history but total falsification of historical facts. Through such ruckus being staged by the group vis-a-vis students it seeks to infuse the idea of obedience and submission to foreign forces and the spirit of standing in confrontation with the DPRK into them in a bid to leave the south Korean society as a colony of foreign forces forever and keep Korea permanently divided so that compatriotism no longer exists in the minds of Koreans. This is an unpardonable criminal move to facilitate the process of turning the south Korean society ultra-right conservative and completely stamp out the movement for independence, democracy and reunification. The group is working hard to distort history in favor of serving the purpose of maintaining its traitorous regime, falsify truth and justify its acts of treachery but this is nothing but a day-dream. The group will never be able to go scot-free as it is hell-bent on tampering even with history, not content with selling off the interests of the nation quite contrary to the trend of the times, warns the commentary. |
